The report consists of three parts. The first part of the report looks at the price interdependencies in the distribution chain for fresh fish in Norway. Using cointegration methodology the relationship in prices between different distribution levels are analysed. The second part investigates the demand for fresh fish in Norway on the consumer level. Here logarithmic demand models are applied and own-price elasticities for several fish species are estimated. Finally in the last part a cointegration analysis of the French distribution chain for salmon is reported and compared to the Norwegian results.
